First off let me say that I read a million post both good and bad about the nclex and review programs. Our school got us discounted price for Kaplan and because everyone was buying it i felt like I need to as well, although expensive I made the purchase. After practicing for about 2 weeks I realize that Kaplan is not for me!!!
I felt very discouraged and the rationals is non existence , they sucked! Badly In need of building confidence to face this exam I closed my eyes and bought yet another nclex review program. Uworld is awesome I did questions on uworld for a month and I passed with 75 questions. Alesha RN. I think this is a good tool for all nursing students but especially the ones that learn from doing a lot of questions like me. This also was a big help for my exit exam for my nursing school. So I recommend uworld even if you get it for the cheapest one just to read those explanations and have a decent amount of questions that you can take notes and write flash cards from.
Thank you Uworld!!! I highly recommend UWorld as a resource. Doing Uworld as given me some eye opener to my weaknesses and hopefully I will achieve my aim of scoring very high. I pray I score above Laughable but possible through Uworld.
Good pictures too! I hope there will be more videos added to Uworld in the future too. God bless Uworld and bless my sweats! I think this app is a great representation of the website version. I use the iPad version a lot and I think it looks and works really well. However, I think it needs more functions when using a magic keyboard with the iPad though. It would be nice if when swiping with two fingers on the trackpad would go to next question.
Also when highlighting things, it currently requires a two finger tap with trackpad. These are small things but would really be nice to have. The method by which this app displays lab values is a deal breaker for me. Worse, any movement of the lab values window or scrolling within that window is lost once the window is closed to highlight text etc and reopened. There is enough room on an iPad screen to put the lab values side by side like on a pc.
Alternatively, show the lab value window while allowing interaction with the question text and answer choices and save the pane and the place last scrolled to when the window is reopened within the same question. After you have finished installing BlueStacks emulator, the process of installation for Mac OS is exactly the same as Windows.
